Imphal blast injures 5

Imphal, February 12: Manipur was in flames on Wednesday morning, when at 11.30 am a blast of a high intensity bomb inside a house at Yumnam Khunnou in Imphal west district took place. Four persons including a husband and wife duo were seriously wounded.

The explosion is yet not declared as an act of terrorism, however the police has lodged a case and investigation is in full swing.
Meanwhile there are demands from civil and rebel groups to come out strongly against the militant attack at Kasom in Ukhrul district on February 5 in which one person was killed and another seriously wounded. It may be recalled that the People's Liberation Army had clarified that in another incident its cadres had killed one person and wounded some others at Nambasi in Ukhrul district.
It has been confirmed from the office that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Manipur and Tripura on Saturday to review the law and order situation in these two Border States. He will be meeting with the law and paramilitary officials over there to discuss the law and order of the state.
